Getting your SpartanCard
To get a SpartanCard, visit the SpartanCard Center, located in Elliott University Center (Room 121). A SpartanCard representative is there to assist you from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. Click here to see the anatomy of your SpartanCard.
To request your SpartanCard and submit your photo online, click here.
To use the above feature you must have Javascript enabled, your University ID#, and your UNCG username/password.
Please bring the following things with you to our office when having your SpartanCard made:
Students

Picture ID – this must be a valid government issued photo identification such as a driver’s license, state ID, military ID, or passport. If you do not have government issued photo identification, the SpartanCard Center will accept your original birth certificate and social security card. Together, these two documents can take the place of a photo ID.

Proof of Registration - printout of class schedule from UNCGenie or paid bill.

University ID Number – your UNCG ID Number is a 9 digit number given to you on your acceptance letter. The SpartanCard Center will need to have this number in order to find your record.
Returning Students: If you received a UNCG FirstCard during fall 2002 or after, you will not need to have a new one made. If you no longer have your FirstCard/SpartanCard, you must follow the steps above for new students. For more information, click here.
Faculty/Staff

Together, these two documents can take the place of a photo ID.

Banner Record – the SpartanCard Center will look you up in the Banner system and must be able to verify that you have an active assignment with you University in order to make your card.

University ID Number – your UNCG ID Number is a 9 digit number. Faculty may obtain this number through the Provost Office and Staff will need to speak with the Human Resources Department. The Card Center will need to have this number in order to find your record.
